Kit Replenishment With Heart

Thala Marlpa (Healthy People) is our social impact kit replenishment service that provides a low cost, low maintenance solution to keeping your kits up to date whilst providing free first aid kits to remote Indigenous communities.

How It Works

When your organisation purchases our first aid kits you have the option to sign up to our kit replenishment service on a 6 monthly or annual basis. Heart2Heart will send a full kit refill along with a return satchel. Simply empty your existing kit contents into the return satchel and pop the refill into the kit. Heart2Heart will sort through and repackage your old kit items (that are in date) into portable weatherproof first aid kits for distribution to remote Aboriginal communities and communities in need for free.

Self Service or We Come To You

If you are within Melbourne metro region and surrounding suburbs you can opt to pay a call out fee and we will come to you to replenish your kits at the agreed time. Outside of this area? Don't want to pay a call out fee? No problems! Opt for our self service model and we will post your replenishment kit to you with a prepaid return to sender satchel for all unused items- its that simple!

Who Will the Free Kits Go To?

The Long Grass People are homeless Aboriginal people who live in the long grasses on the outskirts of Darwin. Typically they suffer from untreated open wounds, cuts, abrasions, infections and many other first aid treatable conditions. Thala Marlpa currently has networks that regularly assist these people and surrounding communities in Alice and Darwin by treating wounds and infections and providing health education. To date, we have distributed kits to the long grass people in the Northern Territory, the Budaddee Rangers in the Pilbara, to Liberty Missions in Mozambique, and provided kits and supplies for the Victorian bushfire rescue and recovery with the Lake Tyres Aboriginal community, Mallacoota community and Victorian wildlife rescue teams.
